Gas is more expensive under Biden. It doesn't really matter if it's his fault or not. It doesn't matter that it was cheaper under Trump who was a piece of shit. People just see higher gas prices and they're mad. Especially the people who don't know what a wojak is. Gas prices are demonstrably high and clearly hurting people. Yes, chuds take advantage of this and put stickers on gas pumps. But they're not stupid for thinking gas prices are higher under Biden. They are. Calling anyone who blames Biden for higher gas prices stupid isn't going to win them over. Especially with your online-exclusive meme.

If you're a real Democrat shill the better response would be to make Putin "I did that" stickers. But instead it's just go straight for the "If you don't like my guy you're actually brain damaged in a literal way."

So are we doing the whole high energy prices is actually good for poor people argument?

Net producer doesn't really mean anything. We are a producer. The largest in the world

We barely export more than we import. https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=49596 this site is pretty simple and up to date of you actually want to get into the weeds of oil.

Its basically a wash. It's just us selling our oil to markets where it goes for more where as it we import stuff that is cheaper to refine here or just buy those refined products and bring them to market here. It doesn't mean what people think it means. It doesn't mean we have so much that we can export it. It just means that our production has allowed us to export more than we import. That's it. It's not some grand statement about our self sufficiency in natural resources.

Should the whole system be nationalized? Yes. Should it be price controlled? Yes. Should we be moving off it? Yeah decades ago.

Is capitalism to blame? Always. But it's the system we are forced into. So understanding it allows one to point out the ridiculousness of it. And if you use it properly you will get chuds to say that they think it should be nationalized but they don't actually know that's what they want till you tell them that's what they are asking for. And usually the 😳 look they give you is worth the effort

The only people being forced to use less energy are poor global North people that already use a fraction of the energy that the rich do. And they aren't going to adjust their behaviors

So what you are saying is pain for poor global North people is overall good?

Also the global North. You mean the west right? You mean europe and America exclusively right? Cuz around 90% of the world population lives in the northern hemisphere.

If you have to explain it. It's not a good descriptor of what your are trying to convey. I just looked over it. And it includes all of Europe and russia. Many of those places are poor as shit also.

1st and 3rd is racist and long abandoned

Developed and undeveloped is not really much better.

It's the west that had exploited the world.

                    Anyways.

But I'm glade you are defining which poor people you think are worth carying about.

High gas prices and reduced driving doesn't matter when a large war was started to create that less driving.

Its a net negative We have oil trading hands several times from russia to India to europe to get past sanctions. Upping the already ridiculous carbon foot print of that sector to new levels.

Wish i could share that optimism that Americans driving less will make a dent when you have a whole system being realigned and a large modern war going on involving the movement of large mechanized war machines that guzzle diesel and have no emissions. Along with all the carbon from the explosions.

I'm not one to get off on poor people suffering.
