Gas is more expensive under Biden. It doesn't really matter if it's his fault or not. It doesn't matter that it was cheaper under Trump who was a piece of shit. People just see higher gas prices and they're mad. Especially the people who don't know what a wojak is. Gas prices are demonstrably high and clearly hurting people. Yes, chuds take advantage of this and put stickers on gas pumps. But they're not stupid for thinking gas prices are higher under Biden. They are. Calling anyone who blames Biden for higher gas prices stupid isn't going to win them over. Especially with your online-exclusive meme.
If you're a real Democrat shill the better response would be to make Putin "I did that" stickers. But instead it's just go straight for the "If you don't like my guy you're actually brain damaged in a literal way."
You realize that’s a bridge construction problem, not immutable fact of existence. Electro bikes also weigh 50 pounds instead of 3000, mine less minerals, and waste less energy.
As for snowing - obviously inhospitable cities should deal with public transit.
Windy days happen on places other than bridges. And to heck with snow, just try to ride one in the rain. It sucks. It's doable but generally you get wet and slick pavement is no walk in the park either. Cold temperatures totally suck too. It's already cold, add a 25mph wind in your face and suddenly it's arctic.
I mean you could say it about everything. Bike things are good, because they force shorter distances for everything - if some place of interest is 5 km away - it’s feasibly reachable by foot, if everything is 30 km away - you are fucked. It follows that building with focus on walkability, bikes and density is all the same thing and same goal. Exchanging cars for cars will reproduce same garbage as it currently is. Electric bike is just an example for especially hilly places
The world as we know it was built on cheap fossil fuels. Those material conditions will probably never be replicated even because fossil fuels are so malleable. Natural gas could be converted to fertilizer and oil to the best performing fuels still known to man and plastic so cheap they are dominated the oceans. People have to start thinking about the over a billion engines that will have to be replaced. The land use for renewables or the limited sites available for fission/fusion cooling will never sustainably replicate this kind of energy without risking mass extinction by industrializing the whole planet.
We really need to be brave an re-imagine the world. It will be very unpopular but if we want to phase out fossil fuels then people and industry are going to have migrate to become rail adjacent in really dense cities designed to stay cool. This is what will separate the willing from the libs.
