Huh? Idk I also grew up in an Era of iTunes and singles and still, so many albums are worth listening to in order. I don't exclusively listen to albums, but mostly yeah I'll throw on an album and listen through, alpt of people do this too. I feel like for many many artists you can't really appreciate them fully without hearing out their whole artistic thing that is an album.

Also how albums change and grow on you, different songs start to sound better as you "get" them. Like, for example, cosmogramma and LA by flying lotus are albums that absolutely should be listened through. Faces by Mac miller is another one that's worth listening to all the way through.
