Posting this in the c/the_dunk_tank, because even if one isn't familiar with the concept of 'fictitious capital" it should be pretty obvious to anyone by now that the 'value' in these markets was all fantasy to begin with.

The money went into the hand of the guy you bought the stock from when you bought it.
Stock and crypto gets turned into cash into people's bank accounts.
But yeah it's all made up. Everything around us other than nature is a human construct that can be changed
