We should have a sticky on how to steal stuff better. You can steal ps3, Xbox, switch, and everything else that isn’t brand new. You can also steal from lowes hardware. Company policy prevents anyone from (at risk of guaranteed termination) doing anything to stop theft under a felony amount. Even with the felony amount, if fingerprints and cameras (thanks Covid for normalizing masks) aren’t enough they give up until you repeat. Steal from lowes. They literally won’t do shit to stop you if it’s under a certain amount.!

This kinda goes against safe harbor principles. We are small though, so it might not bite us in the ass until reddit collapses or something

Same with grocery stores in California if it's under $2000. Just make sure you have enough money to purchase like a banana or something. Just protects you from getting charged with commercial burglary due to the intent factor (I think). I got caught stealing ice cream when I was high and drunk one night. The loss prevention people took down my information, the store manager made me promise to never come back to the store, and the store sent my info to a collection agency who tried to scare me into paying $500. You don't have to pay shit.

Damn thats worse than I got for literally walking out of the store with 3 full bags of items once a week for 5 months. I would have been F U C K E D if they had better security and kept track of me. They just took a copy of my drivers license and said I was banned.

Still miss that grocery store, it was bougie as fuck but had the CHEAPEST BAR in the city. I would just fill my bags, plop down for a few pints, and once the liquid courge was built up enough I would just pay my bar tab, grab my bags, and stumble home.

Seems tricky when the store employees are breathing down your neck to watch you move all the items from the basket to the pressure plate though

One of my favorite pastimes at Lowe's is to buy a bunch of the same thing and then only scan like half of them when I go through the self-checkout. Really the only trick is to go when it's busy because sometimes the employees will "help" you do the self checkout if you're the only one doing it.

Pro tip: almost all the locks use the store number as the code and the website tells you the store number.

I was a cashier there for a summer, we'd barely look up when the alarm went off. It's entirely to scare people. That said don't set the alarm off if you didn't pay for at least one item.
