I've talked about this in the context of working as an Amazon driver for a few months, but I thought I should make a more direct/shareable version of this post as well:
If you're gonna order things off Amazon, I would strongly suggest you try the Pick Up At Amazon Locker option instead of having it delivered to your home, ESPECIALLY if you live in a gated community or apartment.
Delivering to a locker not only ensures the package will be secure until you're ready to pick it up, but they're in almost every 7-Eleven (at least in my area) which gives your driver a chance to use the restroom or grab a drink without having to go out of their way. Also, it's just a lot easier for the driver to deliver to a locker in general, exponentially more so than bringing a heavy box or a bunch of bulky ones to a 3rd story apartment.
TLDR: unless you have mobility issues or are otherwise unable to get to one easily, getting your Amazon stuff delivered to a locker will make a low wage worker's job measurably less miserable that day
They do, but please, if it isn't there, don't blame the workers. Walgreens is NOT a full-service FedEx store, and literally only know the little bit they see on the scanner
