I've talked about this in the context of working as an Amazon driver for a few months, but I thought I should make a more direct/shareable version of this post as well:
If you're gonna order things off Amazon, I would strongly suggest you try the Pick Up At Amazon Locker option instead of having it delivered to your home, ESPECIALLY if you live in a gated community or apartment.
Delivering to a locker not only ensures the package will be secure until you're ready to pick it up, but they're in almost every 7-Eleven (at least in my area) which gives your driver a chance to use the restroom or grab a drink without having to go out of their way. Also, it's just a lot easier for the driver to deliver to a locker in general, exponentially more so than bringing a heavy box or a bunch of bulky ones to a 3rd story apartment.
TLDR: unless you have mobility issues or are otherwise unable to get to one easily, getting your Amazon stuff delivered to a locker will make a low wage worker's job measurably less miserable that day
:bern-disgust: mail belongs in a 50 year old building with spartan decor, staff who hate you, and nothin is for sale except stamps and envelopes.
Correct, but it should also include a bank and a cell carrier.
Yes they have a few larger lockers iirc but you probably aren't getting anything excessively bulky. You can google some pics of them if you want to judge
Some items say they can't be delivered to a locker for whatever reason, but even then, things come in so many separate packages that it's still worth getting all the items that can be delivered to a locker that way
They do, but please, if it isn't there, don't blame the workers. Walgreens is NOT a full-service FedEx store, and literally only know the little bit they see on the scanner
