You can tell it's a bit because someone this deep in Harry Potter astrology would never say anything positive about Lenin.

Ok cool story now face the wall, your inclusion of Lenin into your transphobic fandom was a step too far :fidel-si:

if you ever for some reason feel the need to pirate/watch one illegally online, choose 3.

Alfonso Cuaron is basically the only good thing in that series, as he's actually an incredible filmmaker, even when making a 'children's movie'.

that is saying, you can just watch other Cuaron movies, but 3 isn't so bad.

I just don’t understand the obsession those people have with Harry Potter.

I think it's just comfortable nostalgia from childhood. In my experience it's basically the same phenomenon as superhero manchildren but more for women.

the third film is objectively the most mediocre and the third book is objectively the most overlooked but actually really good

I went to a wedding about eight years ago that did this. The bride was a shameless HP nerd and did the whole wedding up in various house colors. My wife was the bridesmaid who got House Slytherin. We all generally had fun with it.

But other than the pastiche, it was just another wedding. Lots of dancing, lots of food, a fair amount of booze. No bruised egos over wearing a particular house color, possibly because we were all in our late 20s and not literal children.
