bubbie <noun> <US> <informal> (chiefly Jewish) one's grandmother: as a child, I remember my bubbie singing Yiddish songs [as name] : on sabbath evenings, Bubbie would don a special kerchief. Etymology: from Yiddish bube "grandmother".
I didn't know until a minute ago that it's a American word. I wonder what affectionate Hebrew/Yiddish term Jewish Brits use.
Thought this was some German kind of hotdog version (looks kind of like a Nuremberg sausage). Seemed like it would be pretty good.
Then the reality hit.
Looks more like weisswurst to me, nurnberg sausages are smaller, skinnier, and brown
idk looks like it could be pretty good. Especially as an alternative to regular beef/pork/chicken hot dogs.
Some day I might go pescatarian, and if something like this is close enough to a hotdog, that would be nice.
