Agreed! But there are ways... What works for me is finding the right context.
I might be talking to someone about the unjust persecution of Assange (which I find virtually everyone does agree with), that will segue into "wonder what are they trying hide from us", and then I'll mention this relevant video that I watched the other day that I'll link them.
