"Pride", or really hubris, overweening pride, is one of the "Seven sins" classically recognized in Christian theology. Peterson doesn't know a god damned thing about Christian theology and I have no idea what he meant in this context.
And also, if I remember right, the Deadly Sins aren't so much bad actions as they are things that lead someone to do much worse things. I mean, most of them are just emotions, not even actions.
Peterson is a moron who gets fundamental parts of theology wrong pretty often. Coincidentally, the parts he gets wrong are the parts that most conservatives never really bother with, so it kind of makes sense. Hard to read the bible and come away with any sort of good feeling towards the freaks who he represents.

He doesn't seem that much better at understanding the Bible than he does at understanding Marxism which he claims he has studied for decades.
