No updates on Sundays. Aside from this reminder: Stalin, and the brave Soviet people commanded by him, saved the world from fascism.

Examples of racism/euro-centrism during the Russia-Ukraine conflict

Add to the above list if you can, thank you.

Resources For Understanding The War Beyond The Bulletins

Defense Politics Asia's youtube channel and their map, who is an independent youtuber with a mostly neutral viewpoint.

Moon of Alabama, which tends to have good analysis (though also a couple bad takes here and there)

Understanding War and the Saker: neo-conservative sources but their reporting of the war (so far) seems to line up with reality better than most liberal sources.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict and, unlike most western analysts, has some degree of understanding on how war works. He is a reactionary, however.

On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent journalist reporting in the Ukrainian warzones.

Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.

Telegram Channels

Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.

Pro-Russian

https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR's former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR's forces. Russian language.

https://t.me/asbmil ~ ASB Military News, banned from Twitter.

https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.

https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday Patrick Lancaster - crowd-funded U.S journalist, mostly pro-Russian, works on the ground near warzones to report news and talk to locals.

https://t.me/riafan_everywhere ~ Think it's a government news org or Federal News Agency? Russian language.

https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ Front news coverage. Russian langauge.

https://t.me/rybar ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.

https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense.

https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.

Pro-Ukraine

With the entire western media sphere being overwhelming pro-Ukraine already, you shouldn't really need more, but:

https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.

https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.

No ill intended towards our LGBTQ+ comrades :hexbear-gay-pride: :trans-heart:, but there is a strong correlation between having a Ukraine flag + rainbow flag in your bio and having the most awful takes possible on Twitter

There is something especially pernicious about the usage of otherwise liberatory language to defend a neo-Nazi regime. It reminds me of those CIA ads that everybody went crazy about because they were talking about white privilege and imposter syndrome and anxiety disorders while also trying to get people to join one of the most harmful institutions that has ever been created in human history. And also in the sense that it's not really all that significant by itself - if you think being a leftist (in the sense of anti-capitalist, pro-socialist) is purely just using the right terminology then of course you think that's a grave threat to the movement - but it does melt your brain a little.

Some of the earliest propaganda I saw for this war was that Ukraine has pride parades and Russia does not.

LBGT as a movement is absolutely riddled with Feds, whether you like that idea or not. Same way BLM and similar groups are drained of all revolutionary energy. Feds and Dem ladder-climbers.

If you're pro-LBGT them you hate Iran, Russia, Hamas/Palestine, and China because they're anti-LGBT (please ignore that this lines up exactly with US foreign policy). That's the goal for some of the people in these groups. It's highjacking moralism for imperialism.

This is why all your critiques should always be founded in class, it's impossible or much harder for people in power to use that same message. This is not a call to abandon any LGBT folk, just that you should be aware that pro-LGBT =/= Communism.

Ukraine + Israel is by far the most deranged possible combo

People who send weapons to Nazis vs people who send rainbow-washed weapons to Nazis.

It’s understandable why we’d hate the latter even more …
