its so fucking funny how matt restrained his hatred of Virgil for all those years and now occasionally gives us glimpses of his true feelings by liking tweets every once in a while

Do you remember any tells in particular of his supposed hatred and shit since he left the show? Just curious since I never really picked up on that dynamic back then

Matt was clearly sick of Virgil’s unironic punditry on the March 2020 “BEltway Garage.”

in the show, Matt’s annoyance with Virgil shined through in the form of uncharacteristically intense arguments, usually in the Beltway Garage episodes. at the end of Virgil’s prolonged absence before leaving, Matt liked some tweets that said things like “I love to go no contact with my friends and coworkers for a few months and leave them worried about my well-being and the future of our shared business venture” made by weird twitter leftists who have long been mutuals with the chapos. they were clearly about Virgil

Of all the chapos, Matt is probably the one that has an actual handle on both Marx and our existing material conditions. He's got a lot of the same normal blindspots as the typical western male standpoint, but in general has pretty good stuff to say.

I bet it's 50/50: he has some bad blood with Virgil, and he like annoying people who care about this

    Wouldn't surprise me :libertarian-approaching:
