He's anti-expert, as in he can't stand the idea of experts in any field advising policy and stated as much during Brexit. He's come out in favour of execution via hanging in past but I'm unclear what his current views are on it. He wrote a whole book in favour of complete privatisation of the NHS. His wife is a pretty powerful ghoul in the Murdoch press. Was deeply in favour of the Iraq war and has supported every conflict that has occurred while he's been an MP. He supports gay marriage though so there's a sort of Blairite liberal who likes him. link
