Metric time- 100 seconds in a minute, 100 minutes in an hour, 10 hours in a day.
French republican calender- 10 days in a week, 4 weeks in a month, each month has a cool weather name like " snowy" . 3 months in each season and 12 months per year.
360 beautiful days each year
For another L, a 10 day week meant for a lot of people more work days per each rest day. Really if we want to fuck with the calendar we'll have to throw out this capitalism thing first.
Putting on my Richard Wolff hat and proposing a system in which we identify how much we need for the year and only work as many days as it is necessary to produce that much, rather than building up a massive wasted surplus.
i want a lunisolar calendar for earth:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metonic_cycle
i want to look at the date and instantly know where the sun is and the phase of the moon. it will help immensely with my astrological megalithic structure building.
You'd change the length of each unit. A metric second would be shorter than an imperial standard second in the same way that a centimeter is shorter than an inch.
I still think some circular unit would be better than 10. Right now, each of the 24 hours represents a 15° rotation of the Earth.
Fuck the year I want two things:
Metric time

Where do you put the extra 5 days?
I believe it was the French tradition that they were just " extra days" .
Just 5 or 6 holiday days in a row, party days
I am currently reading a book on the Terror, apparently those 5 days are not all holidays, which actually pissed people off at the time.
Damn, big L

The week between Christmas and new years where no one does anything, but institutionalized
Death to America
Yep, a sort of new year partial week.
Stupid idea

base 12 is better than base 10, time is the only thing we got right don't touch that lathe

Well you obviously have to change how long a second is.

Definitely one of the least arbitrary methods of measurement on offer.
But I can understand the impulse to clean up the calendar.
