IIRC Wim Hof has actual significant positive genetic mutations (like increased tolerance to cold and oxygenation of his blood or something), and the method itself is more or less useless.
He also has increased brown fat (same as his broter who isn't doing all that ice stuff) and so on, but that's far from concluding that tumo breathing is useless, on the contrary. Now I can't guarantee that it helps with COVID directly - but I would guess so and I am recommending it based on lots of personal/anecdotal data, unfortunately not based on (nonexistant) scientific research.
