Both seem like solid inexpensive choices (relative to the US). Although I’ve also considered Mexico, but I’m not sure it’s if you want to escape the ills of capitalism and rising tide of fascism. I mean it’s hard to escape anywhere, but Mexico seems to be leaning in to neoliberalism while also continuing to being exploited by wealthier countries.

If you have the funds to move I would suggest trying to get out of the U.S. it's only going to get worse from here on out imo.
Trust me, that's the end goal.

I've considered Vietnam or maybe Mexico. My friend was recently telling me you can get condos near Cabo for 80k.
