In what way did nazism create a functional society? :stalin-gun-1::stalin-gun-2:
Nazism collapsed after 10 years in power when their genocidal ideology inevitably demanded war with everyone around them and caused the deaths of tens of millions of people. Does this guy think that was just an accident? Nazi ideology needs to be at war, and because of that it will never create a functional society, even for its chosen übermensch.
In what way did nazism create a functional society?
It created a society in which every individual's function was to support a global war effort and if you didn't support the effort (or you had a disability or you were part of an "enemy" ethnicity or you just kinda look at me funny) we immolate you in a big oven.

German Nazism collapsed in the face of a grizzly protracted war against a determined opposition of Soviet heroes. It did not simply disintegrate of its own accord. To imply it was "self-defeating" ignores the millions of patriots who gave their lives to oppose and dismantle it across the Eastern front.
What's more, the legacy of early 20th century Fascism (which was itself the legacy of American Fascism projected abroad) endured for decades in Brazil and South Africa and the UK and Japan and Texas. It didn't collapse so much as change hosts and forms, like a deadly disease that evolves into a more contagious but less-immediately-lethal variant.
Nazi germany was not "self-defeating" unfortunately, but it's own ideologically motivated ations directly led to its collapse. Any rational german leadership would have desperately been trying to avoid a war with the USSR, but the nazis just couldn't do that because they believed their own lies about racial superiority and anti-communism, which led them to thinking the Soviets would just instatly collapse to a german offensive. They also didn't "need" to make Britain an enemy, or go to war with an entire continent at once, or prioritize committing genocide over the war effort, but due to their completely out-of-touch understanding of reality all those things were deemed necessarry.

This isn't over. No more than COVID is over.

Which is just not a functional society.
