Twitter's audience is weird as the bubbles are a bit harder to see than subreddits. I've started to realise that each twitter channel is basically its own subreddit now (entirely submitted to by its owner) and that's started to make it easier to transfer theory built on reddit to twitter.
What's interesting to me is the audience you can reach with it. If I'm really honest Twitter seems like it's 10x more powerful at reaching large numbers of people than a subreddit, however subreddits seem more powerful at converting people ideologically because downvotes create quite different behaviour.
Definitely had to hold back from going on a rant about native americans.
