I doubt it. 54% of Americans read below the equivalent of a sixth-grade level and Americans are also infamous for being unable to identify any other countries on a map.

Yeah they have a post about "countries that got away with ethnic genocide" on the front page right now, as if China is getting away with its treatment of Uyghur Muslims, which isn't even genocidal in any way, on the same level that the US got away with indigenous genocide or France and the UK with gestures wildly. So probably it's 196.

They love repeating this line, which makes me suspect Amerika probably harvests the organs of the innocent people enslaved within its massive prison systems.

I dated a girl who was in a near fatal car crash that left her with an assortment of surgical scars and her father had been very adamant that because she was an organ donor that they had almost let her die to harvest her young undamaged insides. It has occurred to me that a society where an assortment of vehicle related deaths are considered the norm is a great boon for people waiting for a new kidney or lung.

EMTs don't have time to check that shit

if you're worried about it lobby for changing the system to opt-out instead of opt-in. (because religious weirdos care about their organs for some reason )

The organ farming accusations are Falun Gong canard, likewise most of the claims about Xinjiang literally stem from Al Qaeda agitprop. There was an al qaeda propaganda video on youtube uploaded in 2014 with all of Zenz's 2019 claims in it but it seems to be gone now.

One of the best parts of not going on :reddit-logo: anymore is not being accused of being a genocide denier anytime I assert that just maybe China isn't the Great Satan who are committed to global Han domination.

I don't remember if I ever commented on that sub before I deleted my account, I think I didn't. I gotta admit that I still browse it daily because it's the only large subreddit that is mostly fine politically.

              :doubt:

A captured “leftist” sub that apparently caters to teenagers and is also imperialist?

Sounds like the state department has managed to narrow the range of acceptable discussion on :reddit-logo: very effectively.

Yes it's garbage on anything foreign policy (much better at calling out Western imperialism than usual and has the usual reddit brainworms on Ukraine) but there's no transphobia (sometimes there's chasers though) and they dunk on neolibs. I prefer /r/TrueAnon and SLS but those subs get 2 orders of magnitude fewer posts.

fair enough. I forget how difficult it is to find non-transphobic places online that are not exclusively queer. Hexbear has spoiled me.

Yeah I mean I'm cis so it's not really for my sake, just good to be somewhere where I know the other people aren't scumbags.

Oh, absolutely. I mean the same as well. Transphobes are fascists and finding places that throw them out is a literal baseline requirement for me.

The rights of queer people are non-negotiable, same as any marginalized community. Anyone who thinks otherwise is only a few drinks away from selling us all out for a red armband.

It's crazy to excuse them for just being young and ignorant, because if you're so ignorant how are you so caught up with the State Dep line?? If anything I'd be willing to give a pass to the guy who thought they were genociding Uruguayans because that's a hilarious mistake I would've made when I was 13.

which isn’t even genocidal in any way,

it might be cultural genocide but english monolinguals have no shot at telling the difference.

The West specifically fought to exclude cultural genocide from all formal definitions of genocide when the international laws were being drawn up. It's outright hypocritical for them to pivot to this argument now, especially while providing zero evidence.

A recent article about cultural genocide in Tibet even used a photo of a school that was using both Chinese and Tibetan script in its teaching materials: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/china-committing-cultural-genocide-against-tibetan-children/
