I've heard this guy being recommended multiple times, it's a shame bc some of his analysis may have some value, but this is inexusible amounts of stupidpol, he has many other endorsements of transphobia and homophbia on his twitter and it's always through the lens of saying gender essentialism is the materialist stance (more dunks in comments)

        His opinions on other subjects are extremely sus and useless if this is his take on queer rights. I can understand a historical figure having some shit beliefs, but a living figure believing this is clown tier and shows he has an inability to coherently process information.

            Yeah, I don’t think Zizek is a serious figure at this point either because he both obsessively weaves SA comparisons into his articles as a casual point and because he has had similar takes on queer rights.

            The information on queer rights has been around for ages. A 75 year old man claiming that “gender essentialism is materialism” shows me he doesn’t know shit about both gender and materialism.

            There are a number of theorists who understand queerness or at least know enough to shut the fuck up and stay in their damn lane.
