Rep. Ilhan Omar squeaked by with a win on Tuesday in a primary that was much closer than most expected.Subscribe to FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul https://www.yo...
The bitchass mayor of Minneapolis endorsed her challenger lmao fuck you and choke on it Frey
ya i think there were 3 in her district and they all won so definitely pushed her over the edge. idk why she doesnt just join dsa already she can clearly use the help
i feel like she already gets attacked for literally everything she might as well get close to DSA and get their backing cause shes gonna seriously need it next time now that they see she can be beat theyre gonna flood the next election with tons of cash against her
Right now, DSA nominally endorses her as the Least Bad Option. I can't imagine anyone who would turn out for her tomorrow with a DSA membership that doesn't endorse her today.
But I can imagine a number of people who might feel alienated if she takes an active role in DSA while still flirting with mainstream Dem leadership in DC.
no DSA doesnt endorse her, she only tried in 2018 to get endorsed but then didnt pan out (think cause didnt wanna run as an open socialist). if she did want to join and they did endorse it would give her the needed local infrastructure and volunteers that she needs to running a stronger campaign next time, thats whats actually important cause DSA can mobilize people for these races.

She's already an incumbent weathering strong challengers. I suspect she does have a strong campaign.
Way too close for comfort
im 100% sure she won cause of the downballot DSA candidates
Thank goodness we have those, I guess.

I think joining DSA would platform get critics from the left, and that's something she doesn't really want.
Like with Jamaal Bowman, she'd be in it for a cycle only to get kicked out again when she fails to vote the party line.
