Microsoft is so insanely bad at creating a product and actually improving it until people can use it. They seem to constantly dump tons of money into projects then abandon them for no reason. They made a whole web browser engine then abandoned it out of nowhere. Completely inept. They're trying to find ways to make money right away on things instead of making something people will actually use. Groove Music seemed inferior to all its competitors right off the bat but for some reason they expected someone to use it? It sucks so much that this is what people's time and effort is being spent on instead of making actually usable desktop software to improve areas that are seriously lacking.

yeah, and everyone else picks at them too. I mean, i'll do anything to avoid using an office product, but that was the only choice for years. They had years to improve their tools and make it nice but Google ate their lunch so fast because its wildly more convenient to just have a google doc than a word document you send back and forth. And they had years to figure it out!

Imagine spending years working on a product only for one inbred executive to axe the entire project because he couldn't figure out how to use it in 5 minutes or less.

Maybe if they made Windows good instead of worse and worse ...? But it'd still suck because it'd still be proprietary software.

The start menu was pretty good in 2002, which is why they spend the next 2 decades fucking it up and making it worse.

Even feudal kings couldn't do this shit. They couldn't crash and burn their lands and holdings by shorting them in any way, and there wasn't any other kingdom they could just fuck off to after wards.

Capitalism is run by kings who've found a way to do exactly that: profit by destroying everything they're in charge of with zero reprocussions.

It's because capitalists aren't tied to the land like feudalists. When shit hits the fan, capitalists, especially commercial and financial capitalists, can always fuck off to another port with at least some of their capital and start over while feudalists are stuck with their shitty poorly managed land, thereby incentivizing them to not fuck up their feudal holdings.

I think their OS is made to look like windows so that might be what is going on.

I've installed Red Star OS in a VM in the past (harder than you'd think because there's no translations in it - had to guess a lot) and, despite it having a similar Window Manager as Windows, it definitely didn't look exactly like Windows.

I'm guessing they also used, or use, Windows; and possibly the push for a domestic Linux-based OS was in part because of that.

And then make something that you pay for that's worse than its free competition.

      "Bring back our customers."

"Okay ... like with a marketing campaign?"

"I don't know, just bring back our customers."

"... with a new product or service?"

      "JUST BRING BACK OUR CUSTOMERS."

      "Literally how? With what?"

      "YOU'RE FIRED!!"
