Nothing major, but I did get a mole removed from the side of my neck when I was like 14. My pediatrician recommended the procedure after he noticed that the mole had grown in size since it had initially appeared when I was a small child. The removal was very straightforward and painless: the dermatological surgeon applied a topical numbing agent to the mole and the surrounding skin, injected Novocain or a similar local anesthetic, then they simply cauterized the mole off. All I felt during the procedure was the pressure of the cauterizing instrument, and nothing more. Aftercare was simple and brief; it basically consisted of "don't get the area dirty for the next few days and only clean it gently while showering".

Pros: it was painless like I said, and tbh the mole was rather unsightly lol, so all things considered I was happy to be rid of it. Also at this point 10+ years later you can't even see the scar.

Cons: none that I recall, although I'm sure it would have cost a fuck ton without insurance since I live in the US.

I hope that helps at least somewhat!
