My really close friend got a bbl. Spent months researching it, talking to other people who got one, basically knew she wanted to do it but talked herself into it over that period of time. Its pretty serious surgery (and expensive!). For basically a full month she was completely out of commission on painkillers and recovering, including two full months of not being able to sit down. She had to learn how to sleep on her stomach, ate food kneeling at her coffee table, and worked lying down. And after this she still was limiting her sitting and had to wear uncomfortable shape wear to limit her swelling. It's been months now and she's fully recovered and is really happy with it, so there's that.
Oh and her :butt: looks great so props to her.
What is bbl?
Brazilian Butt Lift. It's a combo liposuction-butt injection surgery where they suck your fat from your stomach (usually, they can pull from elsewhere if you don't have enough stomach fat) and pump that fat directly into your butt. It's better than a butt injection because it's your own fat (instead of silicone or whatever) so it's much less likely to cause complications from foreign elements in your body. It is the cosmetic surgery with the highest death rate since it's pretty new and injecting fat into your blood stream is a very real mistake that's basically instant death.
Oof well it sounds like a pretty big risk for a purely cosmetic procedure, I couldn't see myself ever doing anything like that, but I'm glad that your friend is happy with the result and I hope anybody who chooses to do that ends up equally happy!
Yeah she asked me a bunch of times if I would get one and I was definitely out, especially seeing her lengthy recovery. But she's happy so I'm happy for her
