To me cars represent the opposite of freedom. To even drive one you need to be old enough and not disabled. You need to afford to buy one and maintain it. If you use it to go somewhere you need to make sure you have a place to park. And you’re not free to do what you want when you get to your destination since you need to be sober to drive home.

yeah being a minor in the USA is brutal. They throw you on the roads and then dont let you drink for 5 more years lol
