    RBG: Of Many, One

After a wildly popular, sold-out premiere season in 2022, the Sydney Theatre Company smash-hit production arrives in Canberra with the brilliant Heather Mitchell reviving her award-winning “virtuosic performance” (The Conversation) of the woman who changed the face of the American legal system: the indomitable Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

          *cancers

She had five of them. And I'm not even making that up.

          Ruth Bader Ginsburg

          Health

In 1999, Ginsburg was diagnosed with colon cancer, the first of her five bouts with cancer.

          Also - this is great...

By May 2020, Ginsburg was once again receiving treatment for a recurrence of cancer. She reiterated her position that she "would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam", adding that she remained fully able to do so.

          She died four months later.

I think it's a one-woman show but the pushup guy needs to appear anyway. It's a must.

      ---

On that day - the first time I saw a post making fun of the guy doing pushups in front of her casket - I knew it couldn't be real. In my head I was thinking... That can't have happened. That's not possible. How could— Oh, I guess I'll google it. Could it have happened? Nah.

But then I saw a photo like this one.

      Show

It blew my mind. What a strange world we live in.
