This thing is more controllable and softer shooting that most full size duty guns. Wtf. How is this even possible? It seems to break physics, heavier guns are supposed to be easier, yet somehow this thing that weighs basically nothing for a gun isn't much worse than a .22? Even defensive loads weren't much worse than target loads.

What's up? I really wanna know how this is possible, there is nothing special or abnormal about this gun other than the mag capacity for the size. Which shouldn't have any impact on what I'm talking about.

Agreeing with the other poster that the grip shape has a lot to do with it. There's a trend of doing subcompact length barrels with more compact or full-sized grips. It makes a huge difference, imo. I shot about 15 different subcompact pistols to see what I liked and the wider, double stacked grips were much better. Ended up with a VP9SK that shoots groups almost as tight as my 92FS despite being nearly 2" shorter.

It's probably the grip shape. I have a S&W which has weights in the frame to even out the recoil. The P365 doesn't have that, but it probably is in the grip. The more contact you have with the gun, the more stability.

It's interesting that despite having no grip at all with the pinkie or that entire part of the hand at all there is still a lot of grip area. The gun feels glued to the part of the hand it contacts.
