Western anarchists built the I.W.W. It might have been founded by Marxists, but St. John's faction was far more powerful than De Leon's, and the I.W.W.'s "shopfloor democracy" and political-non-participation should be recognized as anarchist practices, especially in America where the line between anarchists and marxists was pretty thin up until the foundation of the Third International.
