i haven't listed to SF in a little bit and i know we/I make fun of podcasting almost as a rule, but it seems like a draining gig if you're just on there being honest with people and trying to earnestly process through current events, events in your own life and their painful intersections.
there's a reason the big TV/radio pundit personalities are basically crafted fictional characters with writers feeding them talking points. it's a hell of a lot easier to play a one dimensional character with surface level takes than to do what these people are doing for a fuckload less material security.
i listen to trillbillies pretty regularly and the eps/discussions around the events after the recent catastrophic flooding in southern/central appalachia clearly take an emotional/mental/psychic toll.
