There's something oddly romantic about finishing dinner service, rushing close so you can go to a house party so you can have some semblance of a social life, polish off an entire bottle of hard liquor and rolling in to lunch shift the next day with only black coffee and cigarettes in your system.

My first manager got fired for smoking meth in the freezer. When corporate found out they made then toss all the stock, cause they were worried shrinkwrapped meats were contaminated with meth smoke. I got to watch them toss it all into a district managers car to take to another restaruant while smoking a joint behind the dumpster.

we hired a new gal who is obviously a crackhead. she's totally insane on the line but her food is never fucked up so who knows what she does when she disappears for a few minutes at a time.

Carbs are 4 kcal/g, where are those other 3 coming from? There's no oil in your ethanol, is there?

This is like when I go to a bar at a weird time of day when hardly anyone is there and the bar tender seems annoyed at me.

Uh, I thought you'd be happy to see me? Don't you want tips during the slow hours? I'm just ordering draft beer I'm not even asking you to make a fucking cocktail.

There should be a rule that I can pour my own beer so the barkeep can be on break. Also no more tips just good wages.

Do they not start sending people home when business is slow?

Or do you work in a 2-cook kitchen?
