Link is example. Omg a chimp smoking! Queue 8000 comments about how it's gotta be happier than all the citizens of North Korea combined

Every single thread tangentially mentioning North Korea is like this and it seems like there's multiple such posts every fucking goddamn day with how frequently I see this shit.

main sub reddit is a huge psyop campaign wage by the state dept, and peoples in certain airbase from Penn. You not going get anything from it except for constant propaganda, and even when users tried to make good faith inquiries and call out BS source, the mods there would just remove it, since it doesn't go with their narrative.

5 years ago it wasn't nearly this bad. Most of the astroturfing seemed to focus mainly on the domestic political landscape. I feel like things really started kicking into gear around the Hong Kong protests.

The 2011 fukushima disaster was the first time I saw professional grade astroturfing and was around when I started using reddit. Suddenly there was a nuclear physicist in every single thread telling everyone it was nbd.
