like, Superman being all "we want a future of equality for all men" and Lois being like "what about women" being all smug

I wish he responded "we have female astronauts, where are yours :gigachad-hd: but woops. ugh. Not that that's the least of the problems with the movie, but you know what I mean

    A fully communist superman dealing with the reality of capitalism is something I’ve desperately wanted for years now. There’s no way Superman doesn’t hear the constant cries of children in sweatshops and mines and not effect him. And he’s always given near super-intelligence so it’s not like he couldn’t put 2 and 2 together about the systems in place forcing people into horrible conditions. I know it’s capeshit but it could be a powerful story if the writers weren’t libs

    Fun fact for you: the earliest Superman stories from Siegel and Shuster litterally dealt with the two examples you cited...because the OG Supes is and always was a straight up socialist. He exists as he is today largely as a result of DC comics shafting them and becoming a WW2 propaganda icon.

    A fully communist Superman isn't a radical spin on the character, but a true return to form...which is why it will never happen.
