"alt media" has failed to solve the fundamental problems of mass media. more young americans than ever call themselves socialists, communists, or leftists. we make memes about doing a general strike. we tweet at our representative. every political faction since the turn of the millennium has somehow come to believe that now that people have access to The Truth with just one Google search, Consciousness will expand, People will start to Wake Up, and therefore its preferred eschaton is nigh. The only faction for which this seems to have been true is neoliberalism.
