I never want Republicans to lecture me on "hard work" again. They will screech "earn it, rube!" if I argue in favor of universal healthcare or that housing should not be a luxury. But they will legitimately claim that they should bring NOTHING to the table in their relationship and that they should simply be GIVEN a wife for them to mooch off of.

They claim they are acting in men's best interests, but their ideas are killing men in more conservative countries like Italy or Saudi Arabia. Men are stigmatized from taking care of themselves because a woman should be doing that for him. Until then, just live with mummy who will do that. If you try to do so, you get labelled as effeminate and discouraged. That's how you end up with widowers who cannot feed themselves or even an hero just because they lack basic self-support skills. Furthermore, men in these countries are FUCKED if they grow up in an abusive household. But hey, at least the government will tell you "I love you", every now and then.
