    It's not really even an explanation of class society but an explanation of social relations to the state.

    Which makes it all the more funny because it's literally a barebones observation of the transitioning societal relations of the feudal to capital period of social development in the west that became outdated the moment it came out and was a concept that couldn't be taken seriously by the time Marx and Engels came around.

    Weird how nobody ever showed me a social contract about transferring my right to be a wolf unto others to the state. Nobody ever said "hey Ms. Smiley, would you like to sign this social contract so that you can live in a society?"

    Yet here i am, in a state that has a monopoly on doing incredible violence to people and that uses this monopoly to beat up climate protestors, pamper and arm nazis and assist AmeriKKKans in operating their global drone murder network.

    Always thought that bit was weird in AP Gov, ngl
