:vegan-edge: Veganism isn't a diet, it's about animal liberation.

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose

back from vietnam now and missing the huge amount of amazing vegan food they had over there :(

every vegan place here seems to be a trendy overpriced burger bar with just fake meat patties shoved on, which are just the laziest fucking way to do vegan food, and they do a massive disservice to portraying how good vegan food can be

hard agree. I tried experimenting with veganism in college and got instantly turned to the notion from a dogshit food truck that heavily overused this terrible tasting fake cheese and mayo. FFS, a basic ass fried tofu with rice meal could've easily shown how delicious and healthy food is compared to eating corpses.

yeah no wonder people think veganism is expensive and shit when places showcase the worst aspects of vegan food that is desperately trying and failing to replicate the most bland :lmayo: carnist experience (and failing) at ridiculous prices, rather than (like you say) showcasing the other amazing recipes you can make without animal products

reposting this post i made a little while ago cos i miss this place so much and imagine if this is what more vegan eateries were like, i reckon a lot of people would have very different ideas about vegan food
