Are typical pub owners small government conservatives like we have in the states? Cause it's funny when shit hits the fan they go running to the government at light speed.
My local is pretty lefty. Our Tory MP complains about it on Facebook, we covered the local football team kit in rainbow flags as sponsors and the stands in anti-fascist flags, it gives an emergency services discount to everyone except the cops, has done Palestine fundraisers, and we make fun of the obnoxious Lib Dem councillor that comes in sometimes and drinks on his own. It's not a co-op or anything, but about as good as you'd hope from a business designed to get you drunk for money.
