Not exactly but for years she talked about her success being because she was the only one to really apply herself in a rough Leeds school. It turned out it was a pretty prestigious and successful school that scored higher than almost any in the area.
She co-authored a book/manifesto with a bunch of other now leading Tory MPs over a decade ago called Britain Unchained that basically argued that social welfare had made the lazy poors too soft and we should get back to no minimum wage and a 70+ hour work week.
She also seems to be very determined to get rid of EU human rights regs about the working week and wages.
As for actual gaffes, she's just thick as pig shit. :PIGPOOPBALLS:
If there's another election (soon) and he loses his seat, Boris will take an editor's job at some wretched rightwing rag, write another book about another British racist, colonial, historical figure, wait it out and try and drag his way back up.

My local is pretty lefty. Our Tory MP complains about it on Facebook, we covered the local football team kit in rainbow flags as sponsors and the stands in anti-fascist flags, it gives an emergency services discount to everyone except the cops, has done Palestine fundraisers, and we make fun of the obnoxious Lib Dem councillor that comes in sometimes and drinks on his own. It's not a co-op or anything, but about as good as you'd hope from a business designed to get you drunk for money.
