    I would bet that someone uneasy at your presence would run away if you ran at them.

        yeah but walking on a street and seeing someone walking at any distance in front of you isn't an event that you can reasonably expect someone to think much of let alone break into a sprint to pass everyone they see

            ah fair enough. There are two conversations that always go on about this issue

            Women are (justifiably) afraid of men following them at night what should men do to avoid making women uncomfortable

            Men are uncomfortable being percieved as a threat

                well the thing is that I know that when I'm walking behind a woman that I'm not going to attack her but to the woman I just look like a strange man so I don't take fear personally as it's not fear of me it's a general fear of men
