Considering they started in Europe I'm fairly sure they did the lentil-deflating cause that's less of a crime. Pretty sure in Germany that's like a fine and no criminal record at most if you get caught, which does seem a lot more appealing than getting the book thrown at you.

Considering I already see discourse how these are murderers (because what if you get up to highwayspeeds with a flat without noticing and careen your child pulverizer 5000 into a group of schoolchildren) it's a coin toss as to whether this gets changed, but until then I don't think it's the worst idea.

The real crime is the fact that a dipshit that doesn't realize they have a flat while driving has a loicense to drive

Well, yes, obviously, but as with any (potential) negative externality of cars, to most people it's either someone elses fault or an act of god. And act of god is kind of hard to argue here, so it's the activists fault.

Pretty sure all the child pulverizers 5000 have the fancy tech that tells you when your tire is deflated but the person would probably drive anyway cause they are infallible angels

Yeah, most modern vehicles have tire pressure monitoring systems in them, so not only would the car tell you you have a flat, it'll be the first thing you see when you turn the vehicle on.

"Surely if the car can still go forward it's fine to go, what am I, responsible for the safe operation of heavy machinery?"
