I'd say that Desantis is trying to send a message that "muh northern states don't suffer the burden that us southern states have to " but then he sends in migrants not from his own state. Sends them to the richest part of Massachusetts, where Obamas, Kennedys, other ghouls live along with countless other celebs looking to stay anonymous and away from "the rabble". Though it would take more than 50 people to overwhelm the island, even in tourist season.

The better use of that money would have been to send those people to “purple” areas on the east coast and get all the reactionaries riled up. The migrants were allegedly flown from Texas and most of the migrants had never been to Florida. Florida used tax dollars to send migrants in Texas to Massachusetts.
Absolutely inhumane that chuds are trying to use vulnerable peoples as a weapon.
Also the migrants were from Venezuela, fleeing because of the sanctions that the US has placed on Venezuela.
American policy created this situation by sanctioning Venezuela in the first place and now chuds crafting a narrative that there is a border crisis because innocent people are trying to escape the economic hardship that America imposed.
