With the intentional killing of the 7 aid workers and the bombing of the Iranian embassy on the same day, did Israel show their genocidal warmongering ass a little too much?

I believe Iran will retaliate against either US interests in the region, Israel, or both. If the Biden administration wants to make it seem as if it is not their own fault, but Iran's for this escalation, they would need Israel to pump the brakes temporarily. I believe this is the only reason Biden asked nicely for a ceasefire.

Even if Israel agrees (will be empty words), I still think Iran will retaliate, and of course this will give the war hawks in Washington another reason to supply Israel and take more direct action against Iran and their proxies.

Between Palestine and Ukraine, does anyone else feel we're getting closer to true international conflict? The Dow Jones Industrial Average had its worst day in a year yesterday, which I think is telling.

There is a real possiblity that our leaders are not acting in a material fashion. They're acting irrationally. And this is why you see shit about sacrificing cows and starting the rapture and stuff like that coming out. They actually believe this. And that concerns me.

It's one thing to deal with, hey, they're doing this for profit, hey, they're doing this because this is what capitalism does. It's another thing to contend with hardline, devout evangelicals.

The newest crop of conservative officials aren't wise to the real rules of the game. They drank the Kool aid.

There's kinda a funny historical parallel at play here with the Nazis. Hitler cynically used anti semitism to gain power. The next crop of nazis were quite sincere in it. Guys like Eichmann etc.

Damn I hadn't even considered that, that's an incredibly disturbing possibility. Fuck religion.
