Hopefully this sparks a major change in safety standards? I'm at least expecting more to change in China than changed here in the UK post-Grenfell.

Hopefully this sparks a major change in safety standards? I'm at least expecting more to change in China than changed here in the UK post-Grenfell.
A terrible tragedy. While strict building standards do increase the cost of construction a lot, they've been a dramatic success for reducing things like fires and collapses from earthquakes. I hope that China is able to start investing in durable, high-quality construction for their new buildings. High quality infrastructure is worth it.
