He’s almost certainly an asset, which means his usefulness comes from the site being active and continuing to receive donations (money laundering crypto for the feds, in other words). The site is in a perpetual loop of lawsuits and his legal defense is funded by the site remaining open. And then of course, his identity is so hideously owned that shutting down the site means he gets death threats until the end of his days.
