I thought there was an older post on astral projection, maybe with a different entity. Either way, Allah just means "God" in Arabic, and if a spiritual entity actually exists, it's going to be really powerful, at least in the middle east if astral project to there, or it's literally the same being as the Christian God, just differences in opinions on Talmudic fanfictions, either way great LARP.

Attacking and dethroning god is known to inflict nothing but spiritual torment. What did they thing would happen?

When I was in high school some of my friends tried introducing me to their coven by playing Godsmack on repeat and asked if I felt a spiritual presence. "I'm pretty sure I'm just really high."

It's either a fake image or it was done to lampoon the subreddit, idk. Certainly not real.

Poe's law is in play. When people believe they can put herbs in a jar of water on the back porch and somehow influence the world with it there's no easy way to tell what they are or are not serious about.

This did get parodied as "don't astral project putin" a while back.

Yeah but in this case the author straight up said it's not serious https://www.reddit.com/user/dumbest_bitch/comments/ww2v6o/my_post_seems_to_be_making_rounds_again_somewhere/

the post was real i remember it from :reddit-logo: but if you're trying to say it was a troll i'd ask how you'd tell the difference between somebody who genuinely believes in maghickckkckckca and a creative writer.

Wouldn’t basic witch 101 be the knowledge of the celestial hierarchies? Stick to blessing your glass clippings before you take on The One

Shin Megami Tensei is kinda like this, but if you're not at a power level to do this alone you could recruit Baphomet, Anubis, and a Mothman to help defeat Him

Probably wouldn't play this as a TTRPG though.

She needs to grind by taking on some lesser angels and djinn first, and do side quests to acquire rare items.

reminds me of a similar post i saw in r/trueanon about some guy trying to take enough LSD to start astral projecting to harm billionaire paedophiles. Towards the end of the trueanon post it just devolved into :jesse-wtf: ranting about how scientific studies had found that 9/10 goats start astral projecting if you drug them up enough or something.

my biggest issue with the, let's call it, the alt-divinity space, is how rife it is with grifters trying to make a buck off trusting people with health issues and the way their "clients" are almost exclusively people of means. I get we all have to eat and pay rent or whatever, but there's an elitist angle to this subculture that really irritates the shit out of me, having been around it.

I guess if I had to distill what I'm saying down to a sound bite, it's that, if your cosmology is exclusive to the upper income strata, it's not liberating... it's just another mystery religion for elites.
