Yeah, it's a pretty well known genetic characteristic. My HS science teacher made us taste it to demonstrate something about genetics. I love cilantro, my grandmother can't stand it.
Idk. It doesn't taste like mint at all to me. Soap is legitimately a good way of describing it to me, but for some reason it tastes really good to me whereas actual soap definitely does not.
This is just word salad. Also cilantro does taste like soap.

It's genetics. For I think 30% of the world's population it tastes like literal soap.
