Most of the deaths from here on out are going to be due to chronic problems that stem from COVID, not from acute COVID lung failure. And as such they won't be termed "COVID deaths"
You're correct, but even excluding secondary deaths, primary COVID deaths are the #3 cause of death *in the US, behind heart disease and cancer. That should be bad enough to convince people we still have a problem.
