Overalls are peak living, I never understood peoples aversion to them. It seems all superficial and vibes based. I own like 8 different pairs of different styles. My current favorite are a pair of 90’s grunge acid wash shorts!
Love the fit, the purple and yellow is a good color combination.
Bibbs are the unofficial uniform of the working class, imo. Ive been wearing them for about 15 years. Work, out of work, whatever. Bibbs, work boots, and pocket tees.
I remembered wearing a pair as a kid, so I got a pair for yardwork and they were so convenient I started wearing them more. Now I pick up neat pairs I see at goodwill. I even found a pair of insulated winter ones there!
Historically they’re really cool, and I also think they’re basically the working uniform of the everyday laborer. Boilersuits as well, they just make sense!
I like the complimentary colors with the purple shirt and bright yellow collar. Very fun. :)
Can I ask why? I often get negative looks from people and snide comments when I wear overalls and I don’t understand it, and I don’t really feel comfortable asking them.
My spouse doesn’t get any of the same comments, and she actually gets compliments at work from clients. But she works with children, so idk if that has something to do with it.

For me, it's because I have weirdly specific ideas of how clothes should be used. Overalls are workwear, worn over all of your regular clothes to keep them clean and undamaged while working in factories and fields (or whatever), much like how coveralls, aka "jumpsuits," are supposed to cover all of your regular clothes for the same purpose. I think they're dirty-work clothes that should be relegated to that. However, I keep that shit to myself because no one else cares and I try to only apply it to my own fashion choices (I own several sets of coveralls that I use for painting and other dirty work, but would never wear them out in public).

I do have oil stained heavy duty coveralls I use for working on my car, and a grass stained denim pair of farmers overalls that I use for mowing and stuff. I don’t think I would feel comfortable wearing those in public, aside from like running to the hardware store or something.
You are missing the joy of wearing bibs or coveralls with just underpants. It's great! You can even go for the one-shoulder-unbuttoned look if you're feeling particularly sexy
Oh, believe me I used to wear coveralls on a ship all day with nothing but a t-shirt and underwear underneath. Some freaks would wear gym shorts underneath, which was actually a good idea if you work with a lot of grease and oil, as my legs broke out a few times from it (laundry services sucked).
Oh damn if your coveralls or bibs aren't cleaned properly wearing a full set of clothes underneath makes sense
