I knew it was a waste of time to look for it because he surely deleted it.

As usual - I was entirely unable to gauge reality. It's still on Twitter.

Where is the fentanyl coming from anyway? When I was in rehab all I heard was that it was from China and that they're cutting everything, literally all drugs outside of alcohol and cigs, with fent.

Up until we kept shit talking and sanctioning China and stirring the Taiwan pot Chinas gov actually CO-OPERATED with us to crack down on fent going missing from shipments.

It's worth noting that we IMPORT it as a medical chemical and pharma chemical and a huge majority of illicit fent comes from it being stolen in transit or logistics "missing" some etc. As a result there was co-operation on both sides of the trade to try and stop as much as possible making it onto the streets, but we nuked that by constantly antagonizing the PRC until they withdrew co-operation on multiple (not just drug related) fronts.

Granted the problem started, developed, and was massively happening long before they stopped co-operating but it's only going to get worse because of our desire to bully and boss everyone around on every corner of the globe.

It's both. Also a lot of weird shit. I bought ketamine years ago (and it came from somewhere in PRC). Customs ripped it open and forwarded it to me, at which point I knew whatever it was, it wasn't ketamine.

Ended up being one of the 2C research chemicals or something after I finally found reagents for it lol

But um, while I strongly support nuking Chinazi, in this case it is actually convenient for me to support their claim to Taiwan. Leftys owned

Wonderful that the hysteria around marijuana in white middle Americans is instantly replaced with another drugs the moment the former becomes legal. Truly shows that war on drugs is artificial.

      My plan:

      1. Declare embargo on the US until its economy collapses.
      2. Send the PLAN to seize treaty ports.
      3. March on DC and burn down the White House and loot the Smithsonian.
      4. Force what remains of Congress to legalize opiates.
      5. Inflict 99 further years of humiliation on the US.

Oh wait, did he mean a plan to help the US? I got nothing.

This is such a problem in mixed spaces of English-speakers in the left.

Like, it legitimately is just not an issue here. I suspect the difference that brought this about has something to do with second wave feminism succeeding in the UK/Aus/NZ while failing in the US but I have never been able to trace the cultural difference. Here in the UK for example you find men calling themselves the word as a term of endearment to mean something like "bad motherfucker", you'll see this in some gangster movies in particular where some of the most misogynistic people on display will use it in that way.

In mixed spaces with americans though this causes all kinds of community issues because the origin of where a user is from and the cultural context of the usage is not AT ALL obvious in the online setting, and it obviously still causes most americans an immediate negative feeling because the cultural use is so different. We ban it in spaces just for the sake of avoiding the trouble it causes and that it's relatively easy to not use it around americans if it makes them feel bad.

But yeah. Interesting language topic, difficult to discuss and even more difficult to analyse, I would really like to read more theories on how the usage difference and perception of the word diverged so much.
